Phone Cards and Collect Calls from Jail

Jul 4th, 2012 | Category: Comal County, Families Speak Out

Maria Anna, mother of Adan Casteneda, wrote this advice for people with loved ones in jail: The more your inmate stays in contact with you, the more secure she or he will feel. Letters are great, but sometimes people don’t have time to write and they take a long time to get there. Jail phone calls are expensive BUT there are ways to make the phone calls less costly.

First thing is look online or call the jail and find out what phone service is approved by them because they don’t all use the same one. The jail can also answer questions about phone companies. This is the account  I used for my son:

I used it primarily because it was the only one approved by Comal County. Also, it saved a LOT of money, as calling cards from jail charge above average rates.

Look online for these opportunities.

I know how it feels to have a love one in jail, even though they hide it you will definitely feel in their voice that they are really lonely in a way. Calling him is the best thing you can do to ease the pain but phone calls in jail are quite expensive then I tried using phone cards which are much cheaper. I have tried at least three phone cards, among the three, phone cards from http://www.jailphonecards.com is I think the best to use.

When I initially commented I appear to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on each time a comment is
added I receive 4 emails with the exact same comment.
Perhaps there is an easy method you can remove me from that service?
