San Antonio Dad Dies in Bexar County Jail

According to his obituary in the New Braunfels Herald Zeitung, Tommy left behind a young daughter, in addition to numerous other family members. The final line of his obituary reads, “He was full of life and his smile was infectious!”

Texas Jail Project awaits the results of the investigation and hopes to hear from Tommy’s family.

A short story from WOAI says Taylor died while still in the holding cell.

WOAI TV, SAN ANTONIO – Authorities are investigating a death at the Bexar County jail on Wednesday morning.

The medical examiner has confirmed that they responded to the jail for a 30-year-old man who had died. The man turned himself into the jail Tuesday night due to outstanding warrants. He was not processed and was put into a holding cell to wait. When officers went to check on him, they found him dead.

There are no signs of foul play and they are still investigating this death.
